CPU at 90% utilization with 32 players / 66 tick server?

Does that sound right? I have logging turned on for hlstatsx....

Well first of all, you will have to post your server-specs first. Secondly, you shouldnt keep the hlstatsX logging on the same computer as the server. This can and probably will lead to MAJOR lags. If its posible you should put it on a whole different network. due to network usage aswell (contact me if you want further help. MSN: To_to8@hotmail.com)

Different network is little bit overdone but different server is the best setup.

I have: gameserver + webserver (running HLstatsX), on the same network (+ switch). At a DC this shouldn't be a problem, at home it is.

They are not on the same machine. They are both hosted at Gameservers.com, and I see occasional lagspikes - but they have completely different IP address (totally different ranges). I realize that doesn't mean they are not on the same machine, but the website has been around longer than we have had this server, for several months, and the DOD server has only been around a few days now.

It doesn't lag all the time, it's only occasional, and the server is always packed. I've never used stats in console before this, so I don't know if high utilization is normal at all.

Heres my server.cfg:

You don't have any idea about cpu load on a shared machine. Maybe they only show you the total load of the machine.

Complain at your host and let them fix it, that's what they're for!

I have used gameserver.com, not now but anyway, they do have many servers, so if you don't report a problem you will not get it fixed, they simply have to mutch to do. Yet again, a support system like you are running witch depends on tird party apps is not ideal. Personaly I like they'r support. Quick and efficient.
