problem starting srcds

im on windows 98 when i start srcds it loads the game then says in a popup box "Host_error: IDLLFuntions:::init returned false" it happens on all games. I have fixed it before with a old version with extra files. but i had to reformat my hard drive and i have lost them. so i think i am missing files.

Oh u got enuff proc power and enuff mem to run XP, i would recommend upgrading to XP. I think using XP over 98 in your case, would help out.

I am selecting 27015.

What do you mean you are selecting 27015? Your IP says that you are using port 49485. If that is true, maybe you have the wrong port forwarded...

I am choosing port 27015 from the Steam GUI version of the console.
This is what I have forwarded UDP] 1200 (used for Steam's Friends service) [UDP] 27000 to 27015 (so that means all ports in between too) [TCP] 27030 to 27039 (idem) => these are all Steam related ports [UDP] 27015 and 27020 (default DS port, also used for HLTV) [TCP] 27015 (you want to forward this for RCON access) |
