more than the standard maps support ... 32 slots would probably run great. and you could fit another one or two on there

That many servers full, will mean lagggggggggg

I'd say: around 80-120 slots full, depending on how you boost the servers by tickrate/rate.

Edit: datatransfer of around 1000 GB will do fine, especially in the beginning.

That many slots full will mean lag. Why do you think most servers are empty most of the time ?

As a good gamehost you shouldn't overbook too much, customers are paying for capacity on the server which you are not giving them.

Capacity dual Xeon: +/- 100 -120 slots, you're hosting 374 slots and maybe more.

have all 20 ever been full at the same time? if so what is the proc usage?

edit: whisper's original wiki was deleted but i found a cached copy here, there's a bunch of charts at the bottom for rate vs slots vs bandwidth. VERY good reading.

I never said i had 20 servers on 1 box, and i def agree 100-120 is plent for a dual 2.8's, definatly not testing it from home, it is on a 100mbps each way up and down. I prolly won't even load 100 on it seeing i like to run things right and like happy costumers! So far servers seem great ive had two dual 2.8's and the pentium 4 for a couple weeks now from this specific company and there awsome so far as soon as i get 4 more blades ill colocate my blade box but till then i am renting, same servers any way pretty much only difference mine are the dual core 3.0's, and the rented are 2.8's.
