sheesh.. they have a fedora core 5 already. you think they would fix 4 first.. lol.

But don't try to install it as root, I know that produced problems for me when I was messing around with linux.

did you run the

chmod +x steam

then run the

./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir .

I wouldn't recommend running as root, but anyhow try:

#chown root:root test*
#ls -l  (to make sure root is the owner of the files now and not user 1000)
#./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir srcds_l

have you tried installing the 32bit glibc components? there should be no problems with both types existing on your system.
