im having trouble with connections.
server says it's running as lan, and it shows up as lan on steam but i have it set to sv_lan 0... i'm running a d-linksys DI-514 router... i can enter my server, but noone else can... any suggestions?

You need to forward your ports
TCP 7002 out
TCP 5273 out
UDP 27010 out
UDP 27012 in and out
UDP 27015 in (if your server runs on this port)

open the ports on your router admin page

i'm at school so i can't type too much...
but how do i do that from the admin page
... i enter my ip into the webbrowser and i get to the admin page, but i can't figure out where to go to open th eports with dlink...

There should be a link for forwarding ports. You might wanna refer to your routers manual, or the dlink website.

well... i went to it and i found where i can enter udp/tcp/both ports but it doesn't give me close/open option... and i tried it and it didn't work... i'm not really sure what to do with it... do you happen to know anything about the d-link's admin page and where to find out where to forward the ports at?

no clue, sorry, i don't use name brand routing hardware, i build my own boxes and use them as routers and firewalls in my own home network.

i use the term 'open' losely. Opening ports means setting up port forwarding and enabling it. Enter the ports in the post above and forward them to your LAN IP.

DLink Main Admin Page>Advanced>Firewall
or do i do it in
DLink Main Admin Page>Advanced>Virtual Server?
