SV Download Help???
#1
Question
Hey Guys, I recently installed my server, and would like to host some music 4 the server, but I want to do it fast, so I went ahead and bought the basic subscription to http://www.svdownloadurl.com. I created a folder with my music files in it. http://jedi.svdownloadurl.com/CSS/ and set permissions for it.

Now in my server cfg. here is what I have written:

//Downloadurl CVARS
sv_downloadurl "http://jedi.svdownloadurl.com/CSS/"
sv_allowupload 1
sv_allowdownload 1

It will not work, I have tried everything Sad, and when I take away the quotes it will work but it takes like an hour. That is why I bought the svdownloadurl.com plan to speed it up.

What in the heck am I doing wrong, I've read the tutorial like a hundred times???????

what folder do you have them in on the server? are they in the sound folder?
cuz on the webspace they need to be in the exact some folder as on the game server, or the game server will not know where to find them on the webserver.

Yea the sounds are in the mani folder, and i have them in the soundlist.txt. As I stated above when I take of the " " to the URL, they begin to download tot he client, just way way to slow.

that folder is kind of irrelivant, but the files themselves should be in
http://jedi.svdownloadurl.com/CSS/sound/whateverfoldernext/iftheresanotherfolder/file.mp3

O.k here is where my actual file is, i'm just gonna use 1 mp3 to test and demonstrate.

srcds/cstrike/sound/admin_plugin/mack.mp3

In the sound list text in Mani, I have written
"Mack" admin_plugin/mack.mp3

on the server i have

http://jedi.svdownloadurl.com/cstrike/sound/admin_plugin/

on the server config i have

sv_allowupload 1
sv_allowdownload 1
sv_downloadurl "http://jedi.svdownloadurl.com/cstrike/sound/admin_plugin/"

I have permissions ro read and excute

It downloads on the server, i see it downloading, but I am unable to play it for some reason. Mani will not play the damn song, I am so frustrated. *SIGH* What in the hell am I doing wrong?

sv_downloadurl "http://jedi.svdownloadurl.com/cstrike/"

sv_allowupload 1
sv_allowdownload 1
sv_downloadurl "http://jedi.svdownloadurl.com/cstrike/sound/admin_plugin/"

i would like to add more songs, but if i can't even get the mack.mp3 to play it doesnt make sense.

like i said there.. your sv_downloadurl should just be
sv_downloadurl "http://jedi.svdownloadurl.com/cstrike/"

the files have to be in the admin_plugin folder, but you point your game server just to the cstrike folder...
