Make sure you are forwarding the port through your router....If you are not THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM Smile

yea, if you have the ports forwarded correctly, then its probly just steams servers.. try restarting the server, maybe you will get it eventually, lol.

I am also having this problem, however I am running on linux. I have tried checking for updates and restarted my server and still the same message. Maybe something is going on with the steam network??

There seems to be something always going wrong with the steam network Toungue.. The most I have ever heard as a fix, is to make sure you have the most uptodate version (using "-verify_all" with the hldsupdatetool) and double check you have the port opened right in everything, then just to keep restarting the server untill you achieve a secure status. B.S. if you ask me, but thats about the best I have heard, lol.

I have the same problem. How do you forward your port through your router? Can someone explain?

See I have the same problem. My master ip also comes up with :27011 What the heck it that anyway? I am connecting to ports 27015 and through my external ip when my server starts.

Also, I have port forewarded ports 27000-27100 for both UDP and TCP. I have changed my internal ip to static, but my external ip is dynamic.I have also added my external ip to my LAN setting through the advancded tab under my local Area connection. Should I change my external (WAN)to static? I think there is something wrong with my ports/router I will try plugging my comp directly into my cable modem, but If that doesn't work any suggestion?

try this: most routers have a section for a dmz device. put the your server on the dmz (will have no ports blocked and fully open to the internet) and see if it connects to the steam servers, if it does then you know something with forwarding is jacked up. if it still does not then it is either valve or your isp.

don't forget to move your server off of the dmz when you are done as it will be open to all on the internet.

I have a thread open about this same issue and we've contacted the data center and had them verify all the ports we needed were open. Still the same "could not establish...servers." message.

I think this issue is on valve's end.
