How many slots are you looking to run? Also, what speed is the internet connection you'll be hosting it on?

You can "set your Ghz higher" by overclocking, but I don't think the speed increase would really be that noticable. You can usually only overclock a few hundred Mhz, if that, depending on hardware, cooling, etc.

You can check the speed by going to http://www.dslreports.com/stest or http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and choose the closest to your location.

I haven't ran bots on a server in a very long time (back in the WON days!) so I'm not sure how demanding they are on CPU.

alright.. wow, i think 20 bots would KILL that cpu. lol. BUT you could try.. thats about the best advise. lol, cuz on my computer i can run bots like its nothing, but then again on my other computer (celeron junk) 15 bots in it and your skipping across the screen. and thats a 2.4 Ghz celeron. soo just give it a try, lol. its the best advise anyone will really be able to give you. just put all the bots in the server, and do an stats in the server console, and see what the server fps is.. if there at like 60-70 (without a pingbooster) then you should be fine, i would think.

I doubt it would run well, 8 bots on my 3.4 GHz P4 runs it down ALOT.

whoa really.. lol. 3.4.. man. my 3.0 runs 16 bots with almost no effect on the system, lol. even playing on the same computer the server fps is around 200, thats ping boosted with the default fps_max of 300. anyways though, i think 20 bot would be over kill for something that little, but like i said, only thing that will say for sure is a test!

Well, actually, its not as har on my system as it is on my bandwidth, people always complain of lag when there are 6 or more bots on my server. It sounds like something that wouldnt affect bandwidth as much as the CPU though.
