MANI MOD for Deatmatch HELP!!! Plz!!!
#1
Sad
I am so Freakn frustrated!!
I tried MANI MOD, and it works.... However not all work:

Mani doesnt recongnize deathmath (all kills get a slay TKer menu)
vote map doesnt work (nor rock the vote.)
Quake sounds dont work
custom sounds such as 'joining server" dont play
Autodownload for sounds isnt working

So I was wondering if anybody could zip their mani files and send them to me or post them all here, provided they work and work with the above in DM.
Is this possible? For DM and MANI to work?
Anybody have it running fine?

I'm not sure about all those things since I don't have them on my server.

The one thing I am sure about it the TK menu. I had the same problem when I first setup my server.

Here's what I have to disable TK punishment:

Quote:mani_tk_protection 0 // Enable TK Protection 1 = on, 0 = off
mani_tk_forgive 0 // Enable TK Punishment menu 1 = on, 0 = off

Should be close to the top.

for the quake sounds, im not sure if they will work for hl2dm, there shot recognition is a bit different, but either way, make sure you downloaded the quakesound pack, and set up the mani_quake_sounds.cfg file correctly.

autodownload for sounds is somewhere in the mani_server.cfg.. i think the cvar is something like sv_soundsdownload or something. try using the find feature in notepad and just search for sound. you may have to find next quite a bit, but it sure beats tryin to just look for it.

the custom sounds are setup in another txt file, actionsounds.txt i think. but again, if the sounds aren't autodownloaded then they won't play. votemap is another cvar, just use the find feature again and search for votemap.

Also depends on which version of Mani you're using. The new version requires you to

1) Just to make sure you're doing everything right, make sure you actually download the quake sounds, as they're not part of Mani's plugin by default anymore,
http://www.mani-admin-plugin.com/mani_admin_plugin/quake_pack/quake_pack.zip
and then install them into your cfg and sounds directory on your DS.
While we're stating the obvious, make sure you're downloading the proper Mani plugin. The HL2DM version, not the CSS or DODS one.

2) Make sure you have exec mani_quake_sounds.cfg in your mani_server.cfg file.

3) Edit your mani_quake_sounds.cfg and make sure you set:
mani_quake_sounds 1 // Turn on quake style sounds 1 = on, 0 = off

That should do it. If you're still having issues, it may be related to your clients downloading the files. When you connect to your server, do you download the sound files?

Where is your download server located? How many people are downloading them at a time? If you run your server off a home connection, I recommend that you move your fastdownload server somewhere other than on your home connection.
