How do I run a Team Deathmatch server?

I'm using srcds to run a DM server without a problem, however I can not work out how to run or set-up a Team DM server at all!

I've been looking at forum post all day. The only things I've found are a few example server.cfg files, but when I have used them, the server defaults to DM, not Team DM (even when the person that posted them said they are Team DM configs)

My guess is there is a command line option that I have not been able to find.

Ah yes, I've tried this, however the server still appears to be as a 'Deathmatch' server and not a 'Team Deathmatch' server.

If this is the only difference however, I will see if I have an error in my server.cfg.

Edit: FIXED! I added +mp_teamplay 1 to the command line and all is good. I was adding mp_teamplay 1 to the server.cfg before, and that was the problem.

i added the "mp_teamplayer 1" to all server.cfg and valve.rc i´ve found and typed it in the console. it doesn´t work! why? i want to open a team-deathmatch server, but how?

hi, it doesn´t work on my machine.

i put a server.cfg in some folders:

D:\...\SteamApps\DjKeeper\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp_german\cfg\

D:\...\SteamApps\DjKeeper\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp\cfg\

D:\...\SteamApps\DjKeeper\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2\cfg\

but the (dedicated) server seems to find nothing.
i add a "echo test" command to the cfg, because i hoped that the "test" would appear in the console, when the server.cfg is executed, but nothing!

there are no errors in the console.
it says only, that the connection to steam could not be established, but it works nevertheless.

what can i do?
(i put the command also in the valve.rc, but nothing works)

the mp_teamplay 1 command does not go into effect till map change...
