Garrys mod server download failed workshop plugins

Every time I try to download a plugin with Garry's mod dedicated server from the workshop I get "download failed" after 20 seconds so i can't download plugins that take more than 20 seconds to download.

OS: Ubuntu Server 13.04

Start up command:
