My gmod server wont work nice with addons!

My gmod server wont work right with addons


So, I have a Gmod prop hunt server, but something is not working how it should be.. For example: When I convert an addon (gma) file, into normal files, and put it in to my addons or if i put it in gamemode/lua folders, it's like nothing happens.. No a lua error, nothing.. It's like it is not working like it should be, like the server can't load plugins? Even some of the addons, that I intstall as a gma file, will not get loaded either.. Do any of you know how to fix this? I would really like to fix this, as its a need for me, to change some of the files for my server..
Information: I used SteamCMD to create the server, and i can run it without any problems..
