How Can I Update My SRCDS Garry's Mod Server?

I just found out that you can't use the hldsupdatetool for server updates anymore, and discovered SteamCMD, but even after I launch the program, my .bat still reads "Your server is out of date. Please update and restart."

I'm just wondering if I need to enter any additional code for SteamCMD to update my server.

Here's what I use:

steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +force_install_dir C:\path\to\server +app_update 4020 validate +quit

I recommend installing the steampipe version to a new folder and moving any addons, etc. to the new installation. You may be getting that error if you tried to update your old install to the steampipe version.
