How to fix SRCDS(WINDOWS - CSS) STEAM UPDATE
#1
Sorry for my bad english...
First go download the new steam update tool https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD

When you have downloaded the update tool called SteamCMD you will need to follow my steps....

Step 1

Type "login anonymous"

Step 2

You need to make it go to your server folder.

For an ex: type force_install_dir C:\srcds\css\

step 3

type app_update 232330

DONE

This wil only work for Counter Strike Source on Windows... Hope this will help you.

If you need more help just Pm me or make a reply

Please tell me if this worked for you

Sure, this will update the server... but how do one run it from now on?
Also, app_id 232330 gives me an error. I checked out the app_id list and it turned out CS:S' app_id is 240.

Yeah that is what the SteamCMD usage/installation/server download guide you copy-pasted says, but it gave me an error when I put 232330 as app_id, so I checked out the app_id list (also available on the same site) and it said CS:S was 240. That worked for me, but how do I run/load/start the server? Run the SteamCMD.exe? wut?... D:

Nevermind.
Got an error when I logged on anonymously to download appid 232330 last time, so I kind of fucked up and misunderstood something. I ended up downloading appid 240 thinking it was the CSS dedicated server files, but it was the actual game. <.<

Worked now though.
