DNS instead of (dynamic) IP when added to favorites?
#1
Hey, I really hope someone here will be able to help.

Problem:
I like most home grown hobbyists have a dynamic IP.

Qustion:
So I was wondering if there is a way to have steam favorites use dns address instead of IP when adding the server to favorites, maybe by tricking it?

Intent:
I'm thinking about having multiple srcds servers, one virtual machine each.
The dream scenario would be to have css.mydomain.com, tf2.mydomain.com, csgo.mydomain.com and so on.

Reasoning:
With my dynamic IP a server added to favorites would only look like its up as long as my IP stays the same, about a week. This is completely rubbish because people would never be able to use my server without working for it (IE search for it when it is gone, and not be sure if its down when they don't find it).

Specs:
Assume this isn't really too useful but, servers will probably be run on:
Machine: Virtualbox now, Xen or KVM later.
OS: Most likely Debian x64, maybe CentOS x64

PS: I don't have problems with people connect to the servers.

Thank you so much for any help you are able to offer.
