Help needed for Rates setup

Hello here is my problem :

I have unstable pings all the time in the server + choke in every round start

My settings are :

// bandwidth rates/settings
sv_minrate 50000
sv_maxrate 100000
sv_minupdaterate 66
sv_maxupdaterate 67

Runing 40 slots server on I7 870 + 8 GIG ram

the machine is used only for the server nothong else .

Anybody more experienced can help me fix the ussue ?

Server is linux scrds ,game is CSS

You might not have set your sv_region correctly,

add a sv_region line in your server.cfg with value either of these: (where you live)

0 US - East
1 US - West
2 South America
3 Europe
4 Asia
5 Australia
6 Middle East
7 Africa

So for me, living in europe, I would have:
sv_region 3

Your rates are way too high. Change them to:

sv_maxrate 8000
sv_minrate 1000

That should do the trick, don't worry about lagg problems these are good settings.

no way ,that is what i get with this rates ...

i am 5 km away from the server ... something is wring with this settings ,,,please someone to help

you get these fluctuations because your minrate is way too high. You are asking clients to have a minimum rate of 50k, this is way too much. The minrate should be lower, the maxrate could be whatever you want.

look at the screenshot i posted ,,,any settings i put i have this high pings in the begining of every round ... it is crazy ,,i have 100 mbit 1:1 connection ,,,

please help me ...
