the procedure entry point steamapi_writeminidump could not be located

Hello there,
I've been trying to use dedicated servers for a long time. I have tried both the Steam source dedicated server AND the hlsupdatetool version, but both give me the same error.
The error is "The procedure entry point SteamAPI_WriteMiniDump could not be located in the dynamic link library steam_api.dll"
It's very annoying, as I have spent quite a while trying to update the srcds and looking for a fix online did not help at all, so please help me!

Please provide some information about your server you are using to host with, the game and have you followed the easy setup section in the srdcs.com forums to setup servers?
