Sv_downloadurl Help!
#1
Well, I've had this server for a while now, but i just recently changed it to run the map trade_clocktown_b2, which exceeds the 64mb limit for downloading from the server, i found a free host and uploaded the map with instructions i found somewhere, and put this into my server.cfg:

sv_allowdownload
sv_allowupload
sv_consistency 1
sv_downloadurl "http://tfserver.x10.mx/tf2/"

The map file is in: http://tfserver.x10.mx/tf/maps/trade_clocktown_b2

However, when i join without the map already on the client, i still get a missing map error...

Any help appreciated!

Alright, i tried that, but nothing worked. i did notice when people join, it gives the exeeds net_maxfilesize error into the console, so i assume it is still trying to download from the server.

Can't see why it would not work if you have it in bz2 format and uploaded to ur FTP
Then have the map on ur game server it would work i have all my servers running that way

How have you set up ur FTP side ?
List the folders you have on ur FTP m8

Well, even with the bz2 on both the gameserver AND the ftp, i still have missing map error,it still looks like its trying to download the BSP from the server directly, not even trying to download from the FTP, heres my server.cfg(related parts)

sv_allowdownload 1
sv_allowupload 1
net_maxfilesize 99999999999 (out of anger)
sv_consistency 1
sv_downloadurl "http://tfserver.x10.mx/tf"

and the FTP directory:

http://tfserver.x10.mx/tf/maps/
trade_clocktown_b2.bsp
trade_clocktown_b2.bsp.bz2
