[RESOLVED] [Team Fortress 2] sv_downloadurl map help!
#1
After following several how-to's, I still can't get sv_downloadurl to load my custom maps properly! When someone tries to download a custom map when playing on my server, they either can't or it goes ridiculously slow. Also, I can't change maps via sm_admin commands without getting kicked to the main TF2 menu.

But looking at it now, I think my problem might be this:
My web hosting url is
(url)/html/tf/maps, and my server url is
orangebox/tf/maps
Is it as simple as adding an orangebox directory to the web host?

Edit: FIXED IT! Turns out all I had to do was disable replays!

try this m8 copy this sv_downloadurl "http://you-site.com/tf"

+ you don't need the /map bit on the end

make sure all the maps that you have in ur site is in .bz2 format

This might sound like a dumb question, but do I have to store every TF2 map in my rotation on the web host or just the custom maps? Because I discovered last night that I can't even change to a regular map without just getting kicked back to the default map.

if them maps are custom maps yes they needs to be bz2 then uploaded to ur ftp
and put the name of the maps in ur mapcycle.txt & maplist.txt on ur server
all Valve maps you dont need to bz2 them

The problem seems to be every map. No matter what I set as my default map, and no matter what map I try to switch to, the same thing happens every time: The game takes me to the loading screen, where it says "Server is changing maps...", but the loading bar never progresses and after a long time, it just kicks me to the title menu. This applies to custom maps and to regular maps, and I've tried this on two separate computers on two separate internet connections, so I know it's not just me. Other players have the same problem.
