TF2 server not showing on internet tab, but will show on favourites tab?

Hi All,

I'm new to the whole srcds area. I mainly do CoD servers, but I like TF2, and wanted to set a server up

I've managed to set up a TF2 MvM server, which runs fine & is playable. The only thing wrong is that when you search for it on the internet tab of the server browser, it doesn't show up. I've added it to my favourites and it shows up - I can also direct connect via console. I'm not sure if there is another port I need to allow through the firewall in order to allow it to show on the internet tab - kinda confused right now I've also got the "sv_lan" set to "0". My only idea is a port, but I'm not sure which one.

Before I get helpful suggestions like "open the port X on your router" this is a box in a data centre - the only possible thing blocking it is the windows firewall (I've not disabled it yet to see if it helps).

Server OS: Server 2008 R2
Processor: Intel Xeon E3-1220 Quad Core 3.1GHz
Ram: 8GB
Game(s): TF2
Start Up Command: orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game tf +map mvm_coaltown.bsp -maxplayers 32
Admin Mods: None

Hi, Exo

Please try the following to try and fix this problem.

1. Switch your firewall off or make an exception for the srcds.exe in the firewall settings before you run the game.

2. Start your own server with bots play for about 2 mins and then quit & try to refresh the server list.

I hope that one of these fixes the problem!
