DDOS Protection

Hello mates!
I'm running a little css servers.
After we have received popular servers we have received response problems with DDOS.
Anyone have any tips so you can avoid these attacks?

Loopy, people will DDoS a server for no reason at all. We've been hackers on our servers then they go ahead and try to DDoS us, but we have very good protection. Only thing that can take us down is a huge 1gbit+ attack which not many people can do.

@Krita: You really can't avoid a DDoS attack. There are many people who will attack you because they're jealous, get pissed in some way, or can just be completely bored. You just need to wait for the attacks to stop or contact your network administrator and have them null route your IP.

The only way you can avoid them is choosing a Game Server Provider that offers ddos protection.

If you're hosting it on your own PC, good luck.

As things move along we found that DDOS Protection is a necessity for Garry Mod servers (in particular). It's ridiculous the amount of people who just attack servers, just for the sake of attacking.

That's why we're currently working with BlackLotus and implementing a new tunneling that will prevent these attacks on our network!
