SRCDS Steam group


Can't get FastDL working.. FRUSTRATED!

Howdy there!

I recently started up a GMod SRCDS server which works perfectly. Lots of randoms play on it when it's up, and it works great.

Only problem is.. You can't really get custom content without FastDL.. And my FastDL is NOT working.. AT ALL!

I have it set up on 2 websites, 000webhosting, and DropBox, just to see if either of them would work.

I mirrored my folder exactly, did all the stuff you're supposed to do, made a resource.lua file.. nothing will work! What am I missing?!?

Try deleting the / on the back of the downloadurl.

That's like the biggest problem for when it's NOT working.. Everyone always says ADD the trailing slash.. but I'll try.

I have 2 admins I've recruited for playing actively on the server. You tell me. xD

I closed Garry's Mod and apparently there is a new update so I can't currently connect to my server until Steam updates whatever is hasn't finished yet.. (The server is a new version than your client.), PERFECT TIMING..
but..
Deleting the backslash did not change anything, but I got a LUA script error from my resources.lua file this time..
Can you confirm that it is set up correctly?
