Hldsupdatetool stuck on "Getting version 50 of Steam HLDS Update Tool"

I'm trying to setup a srcds server on CentOS 6, But it gets stuck on "Getting version 50 of Steam HLDS Update Tool", I've let it sit for about and hour and it hasn't made any progress. After i download the HLDS tool and agree to the TOS, i type ./steam and it gets stuck. Anything i'm doing wrong?.

Try giving your machine a reboot then try again. It will sometimes just hang there and there is nothing you can do about it.

don't worry if "Getting version 50 of Steam HLDS Update Tool" stuck .. thats always doing in a clean installation of srcds server on centos .. just wait .. and let time to the installation ! cheers !
