How do i port forward on a Dlink DIR-655

I have been trying to open the ports for Garry's mod on my DLink and no matter what combination i have done it wont open. When i try to connect to my own server it wont even connect me to it and fails after 4 tries. Can someone help me with this problem?

if the server is on your home pc, Have you tried connecting localy? (Eg 192.168.1.5 or whatever the servers host ip is)
If this works then you need to port forwards 27015 - 27020 UDP and TCP.
After that - try again connecting with your ip

EG type this in the console

Connect 34.74.63.199:27015

I actually have the exact same router as you and I've ran my game server from my home perfectly.

Make sure you've set it up at Advanced > Port Forwarding, and under Port Forwarding Rules, you should have something that looks like this:



Change the local IP to whatever PC you're running it on.

Checkmark it, click Save Settings button, wait 20 seconds, and then press Continue.
