GMOD srcds problem
#1
Hello !
So im gonna make this short and simple.
i made a gmod server with srcds and opened the ports and everything ,but
only i can join the server and others time out when they connect.

which is weird because i had a server on my personal laptop which i dont want to run my server on , and there people could connect on the same port.

Now i run the server on my desktop and people cant connect...

What type of server setup is this?

Stand-alone srcds with the console and files downloaded separately or Steam GUI (General User Interface) Source Dedicated Server.

What does your server.cfg look like if you have one?

Can you post a screenshot of your port forwarding on your router or modem? You can erase out any sensitive information like external ip or passwords.

Did you just copy the server setup from your laptop to your desktop and run it without configuring it first?

pic of the port forward : [Image: 25f0in7.png]

and i didn't copy the files from 1 pc to other i used the hldsupdatetool to get a server on my desktop
Btw : i also made sure i portforwarded the right port and to the desktop ip so no mistake on forwarding

The server.cfg looks fine.

For the picture of the port forwarding, I was looking for the part where you input 27000-27015 UDP, basically the port numbers.

You need to Port Forward these ports for your server to appear online.

UDP 1200 (Steam Friends Network)
UDP 27000 to 27015 (Gameport)
UDP 27020
TCP 27000 to 27050
TCP 27015 (SRCDS Rcon port)

I looked at this garry's mod tutorial.
