That is the only secret to betting on sports profitably. The devil, as always, is in the details. The bookies have a lot of advantages. Their probabilities don't add up to 100%, they have very good modellers working for them, and they can see what everyone is doing.
Leaving aside the rare time you have better information than the bookie, this pretty much leaves us with two options. Have excellent models of your own or wait for them to make a mistake.
