Map downloading problem
#1
I've done some research and tried a lot of stuff but i keep having this problem with my server.

I add a new map, try to connect downloads everything then has the maps/maphere.bsp not found disconnecting message.

if i add the map.bsp into my steamapp folder it works, obviously, but it wont let anyone connecting to my server download the bsp...

i have cl_allowdownload 1 and sv_allowdownload 1 all the allowdownloads are at 1 idk what to do from here, any help is appreciated.

net_maxfilesize 64

Try that, and if it sill fails you probably need fast download.

You should definitely consider using fastdl, downloading maps with 30kb/s (or what's the limit to DL from game server) is unacceptable.

u have to port foward these ports

CSS1 = 27020 to 27039 TCP
CSS2 = 1200 to 1200 UDP
CSS3 = 27000 to 27015 UDP

could you elaborate a bit, im doing it now, but what would the public port number be and the private port number?

EDIT: I think i got it, can now join the server, however only through the console command "connect" it does not show up in a search, nor if you manually add it into favorites...
