I am hitting my head against the wall.
Server OS: Server 2008 R2 64 bit
Processor: Intel Xeon 2.6 Ghz (running on a Dell R610)
Ram: 16 GB
Game(s): tf (Team Fortress 2)
Start Up Command: E:\HLserver\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game tf -hostport 27015 +maxplayers 24 +map ctf_2fort
Admin Mods: No Mods.
This is a completely fresh install of both windows and TF2. I used the HLDSUpdateTool.exe to install, using -dir E:\HLServer.
There are no other servers running on this machine.
When executing the command line, via an Administrator Command Prompt, nothing happens. When I try to execute SRCDS.EXE standalone, nothing happens. When I try to create a shortcut using the full game parameters, nothing happens.
SRCDS won't start.
EDIT: I will also mention, that I have searched these forums for the past hour, making sure that my problem hasn't been asked before. There are a lot of "srcds won't start" threads, and all of them say the same thing, but none of their responses seem to work for me.
