You can't have 1000 fps servers anymore. Valve limited the fps to 500. And the "OMGWTFSOOOOSMOOOTH" effect of 1000 fps servers is just placebo.

optimal is (believe it or not): fps_max 66.67
(or fps_max 100 if you absolutely must run with tick 100, which already is suboptimal by itself)

Uh. Won't you get a interpolation problem at each 90 seconds or so with .67? In another post made by you you wrote a wall of text why .66 was better...

sorry, fps_max 66.66
I don't think anybody will notice, because it has to coincide exactly with an important command or it will stay unnoticed...

Run windows and look into "dll" tweaking.

that works also on Linux (even easier), but it's complete bullsh*t, unless you really have to impress someone with that number.

i have literally this week just sorted a batch of windows 2008 servers, and sorting all the files out for it.

Kernel changes are a utter ball ache. especially as kernel.org is down due to hacks.

wierd how the sustainability of fps is better on windows than it is on linux.... windows SR2 2008 compared to Linux Centos 6.0

only bloody gots windows for MW3 Smile "it been on windows first" that is. bah back to the grinder.

Oh if there is any tf2 admins about... currently have about 10 TF2 servers up that will soon be 30, they are just idling with no mods maps or anything... If there is anyone suited to that, feel free to message me.

centos is a bad choice for game servers (at least unmodified)... it has very old kernels.
