CS Source server starting as cs 1.6 ? Fresh install

I installed the hldsupdatetool and used it to install CSS on my dedicated system.
hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir m:\hlserver
It installed the orangebox files fine at the correct path. I then installed eventscripts and mani admin plugin. I created the bat file to run srcds with this command line;
srcds.exe -console -tickrate 100 -game cstrike +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 32 +fps_max 1000 +sv_maxrate 20000 +sv_maxupdaterate 100

It runs and everything is great but then when I try to actually get into the server from steam it starts up CS 1.6 when I double click the server. When I try to connect inside CSS I get some type of conflict error.

The IP is 209.162.186.98:27015 and I have another running at 209.162.186.98:27016 can someone check these out and tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you!

Where did you put the .bat file?
It needs to be in m:\hlserver\orangebox to work.

It is in the orangebox dir and the bat file works fine, it is loading srcds.exe with the command options. Something is wrong elsewhere I believe.

Very odd.
Here's my suggestion(I have no idea if it will work, but it's worth a shot.)
-Delete everything in :\hlserver
-Delete hldsupdatetool.
-Re-Download hldsupdatetoool. Put it in your C: drive(if you have one) and the M: drive if not. Then launch the exe by double clicking it(in your root drive.) Nothing should happen. That is OK.
Make a bat file containing the following: C:\hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir M:\hlserver (Replace the C with M if applicable.)
Run the bat file(then, you can just run the bat file when an update is released )

Thank you, I removed the hldsupdatetool and then downloaded a fresh copy and followed your re-install suggestion above and now everything works fine! I also downloaded fresh copies of sourcemod, metamod and mani plugin to be safe. Thank you!
