[SOLVED] Pls help! Trying to extract a tar.gz file ADMIN-MOD

hi,

i'm quite new to Linux and setting up a Dedicated server so pls when you reply note every step if you can.

i'm using ubuntu server 11.04 (cli only) and hlds for css

i've looked through multiple forums to find similar issues but none resolve my issue

the issue is that i'm unable to extract an admin-mod tar.gz file.
i tried more things and to download the file from another location
but more or less the output below pretty much sums it up
pls see output below:

if anyone can give me a link where i can find how to use mods and what mods do what for linux pls let me know as well as i'm quite new i don't completely understand how it works and finding info on how to configure is hard to find for cli in linux

any help will be greatly appreciated.

The file you downloaded was an HTML document. In which it saids the file you linked to isn't found. Try downloading another file.
You also asked if there are any admin mods. The most popular I know of are sourcemod and Mani admin mod.

Note: there is an dutch section if you find that easier.

a friend was able to help me with this and indeed the file was html..
i got the correct file not from another source and it works.

dutch/english is no prob for me i just guess this section is more active.

i'd like to add to anyone on this forum: if you encounter issues with srcds install in linux cli only, you may ask me and i'll see where i can help. i'm no expert clearly but i can try.
