TF2 SRCDS Runs the game super fast.

Hello.
I think this is the place to ask for support

I am trying to make a team fortress server but i keep having trouble.

It is hosted on a laptop with:
Genuine Intel® CPU T2300 @ 1.66GHz, 2 cores
Real memory : 1.96 GB total
Virtual memory (Aka Swap ) : 1.50 GB total,
HDD size : 90GB
Ubuntu Linux 11.04
Kernel and CPU : Linux 2.6.38-10-generic-pae on i686

To start the server i use :
./srcds_run -game tf +map plr_hightower +maxplayers 24 -autoupdate

I run this command as root user.

Tried with and without config ( config from http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Dedicated_server_configuration )

The server game just runs super fast, The carts move super fast aswell and you can use all your ammo in seconds.

What can i do to fix this?

I have also tried again after updating it. still fails. I also tryed the server on fedora.

Other Symptoms: Time Left , Waiting For Players And Timer Are All Super Fast.
On map CTF_Turbine The briefcase when dropped returns to base within 1 minute.

Whats the host_framerate as well as the fps_max?

Could be an Event timer issue.

Type export RDTSC_FREQUENCY="disabled" in your startup script. See if that makes any difference.
