Are you running any sort of mods that are trying to write to a local SQL file or something? It's generally mods that cause issues so I'd always suggest taking a look at those and seeing what could be the issue.

k new problem...
I think i fixed the cpu problem... but now my server just goes offline... The black window is up(the srcds.exe window) but it is like frozen... Just like stops with the previous events... Could this be my router loosing connection to comcast or something?

I had this issue at one point. For me, it was hlstatsx trying to get/upload statistics, and I had the rcon set wrong on my hlstatsx admin page. If you don't have hlstatsx, it could be something similar.

Connection has nothing to do with fps. You need an fps booster to up the fps. UNLESS you are running l4d2, which then it is capped at 23 or so fps. And that is a lot of CPU usage for only 5 players. What kind of server/mods is that server?

That means your box is overloaded. A lot too. I'll bet that the in-game experience sucks on your servers tbh.

Yes, your cpu is having trouble keeping up, that's why the fps drop is soo bad. Also, you can let windows handle the cpu load of the server(s). People say it will hurt performance, but I have been running source servers for a loong time now, and even with my old gsp, I have still yet to give each server their own core, and I just let windows load balance them. I have no issues what so ever with that. Now people will tell you differently, so that is just my experience and two cents.

If that was in your other thread, people were saying that they thought it would not handle it. And no, a defrag and a system optimization would not fix it. You need better hardware.
