LOW SNAPSHOTRATE (TICKRATE) OF MY SOURCE TV!!!

Hello there guys,

I am still having an issue with my source tv relay proxy server.

Even though I set these settings at the server.cfg of master server and also put them at the command line of the proxy server...(with + prefix, like +sv_maxrate 100000)

... my source tv relay proxy is STILL laggy, with low snapshotrate or tickrate (see below pic


So, what I suppose to do now to fix this??

I could be totally mistaken but isn't that what its supposed to be? When your dead doesn't your tickrate drop as well? (just going from memory here so it may be a bit fuzzy on this answer)

Usually it should stay at 66 but under huge matches (VeryGames vs mTw etc..) it lags badly. Usually because the computer powering it sucks. I think..

Source TV Relays are never as smooth as actually playing the game, it all depends on number of clients ive found, as Michael_sj123 said, large matches that pull in over 1000 clients seem to be horrific.

Also note from your picture, your ping is 90ms, that cant be helping the feel of the game, perhaps a different server host?

You are not dead, you are a spectator at a source TV server.

What do you mean? That the tv relay proxy must be at the same computer with the master server and its master tv?

The master server and its tv are located at a greek host, whereas the tv proxy is a german host , ( i have 70-90 ms to german servers from greece)

Well what about the masterserver? Could it be something with that not sending fast enough?

Also, if the TV Relay is from where I think it is, they reduce the quality as to conserve bandwidth, so its out of your hands.
