WinWinSock Error 10054 "Connection reset by peer"

while running the update tool when it gets up to the player models i keep geting the error below. then the server restarts with version 1.0.1.0.

that basically means your internet is crapping out, make sure theres nothing else runnin on the machine while trying to update, and also try to make sure nothing else is using the internet connection at the same time.

interesting the boxs i'm trying to update have dual 100 mbps ports and are hosted out of equinix. is there a seting in windows itself that could be causeing this?

hmmm.. really it could be a lot of things. i got it a couple times on my computer, but thats just cuz the computer was doin like 4 other things, so it just gave up on the updating the server i think. but after i stopd them things it workd just fine. soo i don't know. lol. cuz thats basically saying it lost connection, maybe its just loosing connection cuz of flood on valves end? i know lately they have been havin some problems with there servers. soo try again? lol. and make sure you only try to update one server at a time. i heard a guy had a bat file to update multiple servers at a time, and it did that..

i'm only right now messing with one servers on this box. since its mid the the cpu usage is only at like 5%. hm i should drop over to the tcadmin forums and see if maybe its the software causeing the problem

maybee.. if thats what your using to update the server.. maybe try just usin the updatetool?
