Automatically select a certain team/class?!
#1
Sorry for being a noob here, but I cannot get this setting of the server.cfg to work Sad I need to have all the human players to automatically select CT and for example class SAS.

Could someone please tell me how to do it? I have tried to set the server.cfg as follows:

Code:
//---------------------------------//**Team Settings**\\----------------------------------\\

//mp_autoteambalance 1        //Server automatically changes players to even teams

//mp_defaultteam 0        //What is the default team to join?
mp_humanteam CT        //Restricts human players to a single team {any, CT, T}

mp_limitteams 2            //Max # of players 1 team can have over another (0 disables check)
//mp_teamoverride 1        //Allow server to regulate teams

//----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\\

What's wrong here?

The automatic team setting for bots works fine...

Forgot to say that I am running the srcds on the same computer which I use for playing. Reason:

-Conducting a scientific study in a UI lab using CS: Source and custom made map (only one player at a time against bots)
-Lab does not have a computer capable of running CS:Source with a decent resolution -> laptop with good 3D hw (Lenovo w520)
-Don't want any network hassle (even in lan) so using only one computer for the test

I guess I could use the "GUI version" of source dedicated server (installed via Steam), but I really don't know how make my custom configs available to that server? The GUI does not offer too may config-options to play with...

Any clues highly appreciated Smile

I may be mistaken but I think that mp_humanteam is an old HL1 based cvar not a source cvar. Have you tried running an old CS 1.6 server and trying that command?

Ok, it seems that the present version does indeed not support those parameters. What a shame. I'll have to think of something else. Thanks for the replies.
