CS:Source setup probs

Hello!

I want to install an Counter-Strike Source ded server on a linux root server.
I have done all steps in the tutorial "Install: Linux" step by step.

I have createt a new account with:

Quote:./steam -command create -username gameserver24h -email support@gameserver24h.de -password *** -question "***" -answer "***"

Than following message appears:

Quote:Checking bootstrapper version ...
Creating Account
Account Created successfully

Than I wanted to install the server with

Quote: ./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir . -username gameserver24h -password *** -remember_password

But the following message that appears could not be the right one I think

Someone told me, when hlds_run will be downloaded, it will not be the Source version of Counter-Strike.

What have I done wrong?

Edit: First I have used a steam version that i have used to install cs1.6 and cs:cz.
So I thought that was the mistake, so I have donwload the one in the tutorial an started the install with

Quote:./steam -update "Counter-Strike Source" . support@gameserver24h.de <mypass>

Than following message appears

Quote:Checking bootstrapper version ...
Updating Installation
Connection Closed by Peer

I really don't know what I should do...

P.S.: On the root server there are runnig some other server like cs1.6

I believe there is a .blob file you have to remove.. InstallRecord.blob i think, not sure, i never had this problem before.

Hi!

There was no .blob File.
But I have found the mistake.

I have had 3 different versions of the "steam" file. the largest was the right one.
The other two would download cs1.6 files by -game "counter-strike source" command.
Only the last and biggest one (size) downloaded the source content by the command -game "counter-strike source".

I don't know why... but know I have my server and now i have only to start it ^.^
