Can someone tell me what a static ip should look like? And even what it is and where it's found?
EDIT: I just got myself a static ip adress but now, do I add the static ip adress to the server startup command?

Lets make an example scenario:
I got a dell server on a private lan in my rack in a datacenter.
Local Subnet: 10.230.1.0/27
Remote subnet: 193.169.208.0/23
Router: 10.230.1.1
Dell server: 10.230.1.10
The srcds process will need to listen at 10.230.1.10, and not the external ip since it doesn't know anything about that ip address. You can only bind the process to an address that are configured on your network adapter. You will then need to forward the port in the router and redirect that port to the dell server, and then open the port in your firewall
If your server were connected directly to the internet, you would only need to open the port in the firewall and then bind it to the address of your primary network adapter.
