Is there any updated mods to stop dos from attaking gameserver since the big patch came out?

Against DDos there is no protection. What you probably mean are eploits that can crahs and lag the server. Search the forum for iptable rules (hex codes) that can prevent them.

Well, your firewall is your protection.. There are DDoS protections available, but most of them don't work the way you want to i guess.. You could get a hardware firewall and get someone to configure it to nullroute the packets.. I don't know anything about it so shoot me if i'm wrong.

you also can install zblock and disable everything you don't want to have on a public server...

zBlock, dfens, dblocker and so on are exploit protections and can handle most of the attacks from scripts.

If you face a DDos they bomb your servers with requests untill your connection is full or the software can not handel the amount anymore because of the numbers of requests.
