Ouch, sorry you had to find out this way.

We'll fire a query at the databaseserver that will vaporize all heinous personal messages of our friend faster than a thermal discouragement beam, but you can safely delete it manually in advance.

also there is spam in the forums again:
http://forums.srcds.com/viewtopic/16799

btw: sometimes I reported those kind of spam posts with the report button. does this help you or will you notice those post anyway and I am just producing more spam for you admins? :-)

Always right on it Realchamp.

The PM should be filtered from everyone's inbox now, let me know if it didn't disappear.

Our MyBB forums get hit pretty bad with spam too. I enabled some stop forum spam plugin but it just blocked everybody from registering -_-

The only software I have used that doesn't get super spammed up was the Ipb3 hosted communities.

maybe you can implement something custom in the registration process. I once did that with a phpBB2 forum which I did not wanted to upgrade to phpBB3 (but support for phpBB2 was long gone). I just required the captcha code to be entered in reverse order (simply put strrev() around the sent string in the respective if query, and wrote some red message into the form so every human knows of this). that is very effective, because probably no spammer writes specific software for this forum. Probably it's not important what the difference is, only make it different from the default :-)

I agree, we could use a renewed and simplified registration form anyways. I fear some spammers are human (shabby eastern search engine optimization firms) though so the problem can never be fully eliminated.

same my phpbb3 forums are getting hit very very hard....
Like every second a topic is posted and i have to delete the posts and for some reason i think i am getting logged out of admin panel so they may be hacking into it too...
Well i tried something to fix it and ill tell you if it worked for me for phpbb3....

Are there ANY admins awake? I've reported a spambot weeks ago, yet it's still happily posting random text in every topic.

Thanks for the headsup (thread reply message to the rescue). Since the MyBB upgrade our anti-spam plugins are really glitchy. I'll see if I can fix them, this is really unacceptable.
