CSS server not showing up in server list

Server OS: Ubuntu 11.04
Processor: Intel® Xeon™ CPU 2.80GHz
Ram: 4GB
Game(s): Counter-Strike:Source
Start Up Command: ./srcds_run -game cstrike -autoupdate +maxplayers 24 +map surf_leet -ip xx.xx.xxx.xx -port 27018
Admin Mods: SourceMod and Metamod

All right, well I've recently bought a dedicated linux server and I've set up a few Counter-Strike:Source servers, they all work just fine, but the problem is that they don't appear in the server list or internet games tab. You can connect to them with the console or if you have them added in favorites, but they don't appear in the server list.

Here's what I get when I start my server:
Code:
Auto detecting CPU
Using default binary: ./srcds_linux
Server will auto-restart if there is a crash.
Using breakpad minidump system
Using breakpad crash handler

What should I do?

In my experience, you dont need -1p xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, so you could try removing that command alltogether. Also, are you sure your trying to connect to the right ip? And are the correct ports forwarded?

I've tried removing the IP and it's exactly the same.

And I am connecting to the right IP, and I'd assume the ports are forwarded fine, I can join it and so can my friends, but it doesn't appear in the internet games tab.

It could be a problem with sv_region, try sv_region 255 or downgrade your hlds version or upgrade to latest beta which I believe is 5006 and has been fixed for region bug.

I've tried it with sv_region as 255, 5, 0, and -1, still nothing happens. And I've updated the server quite a few times and it still doesn't work.

Also for some strange reason, irregardless of what I put for sv_region it shows up as -1 on the server, but I've checked and some other servers get that as well.

Hmm, you could try the rcon heartbeat command, I've heard that can fix this problem.

Tried it, doesn't work either.

It's crazy, I have no clue what to do.

All right, thanks. I've done so much googling and found nothing, I hope you can find something.

I stumbled across this on the steam forums, it came from a reliable source, and posters in the thread confirmed it.

"-If people can connect to your server by adding the IP to your favorites or by console, then that means your server is running fine. There is absolutley nothing you can do to make the master server list display your server.

There is a theory that servers with IP's ending in a smaller number (xxx.xxx.xxx.1) will be displayed more frequently than a server with a larger number (xxx.xxx.xxx.255). If you strongly believe in this theory, then you can do the following :

Static IP Users : Contact your ISP and ask them to change your IP.
Dynamic IP Users : Restart your modem until you find an IP that you like. -"

I hate to give up on an issue, but after seeing this, im not sure what you can really do. But I could dig some more if you like.

Hmm, it couldn't be that, the IP ends in 42.

I've almost given up as well, this really needs to be fixed.

You did check to make sure you didn't have any flags set while you were searching? Also I find that if you use the server list in game rather than out of game you tend to have better results.

Make sure your region is set to the actual region. Some players will filter based on this, and those displaying world (255) or -1 will be filtered out.
Looking for a game server? Visit fullfrag.com and pick one up as low as $2.50 / mo!

I've tried with sv_region on 5 (the servers in NZ not australia) and I've also tried it with 255, but it doesn't work either way.
