Game(s): CS:S Server
Start Up Command: e:\documents\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 16 -autoupdate
Admin Mods: None

Hello, I am new to these forums, but I thought I would consult here for help.

I go to start up my server with a shortcut file on the desktop with the start up command as stated earlier, but when I do so, it starts and runs for LAN connections, but when I try to get a friend to join, it states: "This server is out of date".
As well, in the cmd window that the server runs in, it says:

Your server is out of date. Please update and restart.

I have tried a few things that I found to update it, but none of them worked. Also, another one of my friends installed a server and it did not work for him either and he got the same error.

Once again, this is a Counter Strike Source server.

I do, and I recently got a solution, all I had to do was type this into command prompt after changing the directory to the proper one.

It took a few mins to start going, but I updates and works.
