Getting your server popular(zombie escape)???

Hello everyone, does anyone know how to get any server like my server more popular? I need more people to my server so i can test to see if my upload speed is good enough to handle 40 players but i also want more people to the server just for fun too

I have a community and a website for the server, if you want to see the website just go on the server and there are advertisements for it and join it to see...
Anyway my server ip is:68.38.155.222:27015
its a nice zombie escape server with 75+ maps!
Anyway i just want to get the server more people on it...
Any tips on it or how you guys got your server popular, i got 15 ppl on the server once but that was max.... I told friends about it too...
The server is located in new jersey because its my server i host it at my house lol!

Buy TV advertisements.

No really, just be on your server and get some friends in there too. Hopefully some people will come and be permanent guests.

It's also about giving them a server they want to play on, not a server you want to play on.

do something custom that another server doesn't do, or provide the players with a little something extra

actually does anyone know how to make it in css where in the server list under the game tab it has a custom game tab....
It usually says "Counter Strike:Source" but some servers say "// ZOMBIE ESCAPE \\"
ANd i think that would stand out on my server to get it a little popular....
Anyone know how to do that?

Hmm not sure, gameinfo was just a guess for me. Just try messing with some of the other server files or something. One is bound to contain this. Its possible its an addon though.

I'm not sure. I haven't done anything like this except in Garrysmod.

Yeah! I know that plugin, uh, it's a addon called Game Description Override.

From my experience, the best way to grow a server is to get friends and other people to join. When people see a server with a handful of people, others will join. There really is no magic way of drawing in people...
