100 tickrate scrimserver
#1
Hello. I've purchased a 100 tick 11 slot private Counter-Strike: Source server for the sole purpose as using it as a scrim/match server.
Now, a match server which is used within ESL matches needs to have zBlock and all that, but the thing is, zBlock forces the:

Code:
sv_maxupdaterate 66
sv_maxcmdrate 66
sv_maxrate 40000

I need those to be 101 for the 100 tick server.
Are there any plugins that can bypass the blockages and shit?

Thanks,
Michael

You could try to modify this with the correct command... Just put this in your start params.

Not sure if it would work Smile

I can't access my start parameters i think... So it'd be: +sv_maxupdaterate 101 rite?

Yes. You could do the alias insite autoexec.cfg I think that might work out.

So i'll add the commands in the autoexec.cfg file and then? Should i add some alias in there so zblock can't change it?

Edit: Didn't work.. Seems like zBlock's hooking those commands before it executes autoexec.cfg.. ffs.. That means i'm doomed to shit 66 tick ffs

the ESL forbids tick 100 because it requires an unofficial hack. it introduces a number of negative effects while having no (yes really no!) positive effect on the game play. even if you use maxrates of 66 the server is in principle unsuitable for use in the ESL, as the ESL rules clearly state that there must not be any server modification installed other than zblock. you might be lucky and nobody will notice this if you run with tick 66, but running at tick 100 will get you some PPs sooner or later.

I'd say you have been conned by your provider. The server you brought is simply not a legal match server.

God damn it.. Fooled again. Soi'll just cancel it and buy one with 66 tick? Do the warservers need high fps or anything like that? Because on the shared hosting node i'm getting around 150 fps. Is that enough?
