Port Forwarding Screen Shot: Don't got any, however i have tested every port that is needed and it's open. 27000-27015 [UDP] 27030-27039 [TCP] 1200 [UDP].

Hello, got a huge problem. My server does not get added to Steam's master server list. I have opened up every port that is needed and checked that they are open with a port checker program, they are all open. However when i start the server i do not get an msg that tells me that it has been added to the master server.

People can connect to my external ip but cannot find it when searching for servers in the list. They can add it to favorites and join that way also.

What i have done so far is:

1. Double checked every possible port that needs to be open CHECK!
2. Added sv_region "3" to my server cfg (Europe) CHECK!

And alot more that i cant remember (Spent 10 hours on this and this is getting anoying.)

The question is, im fully open as far as i know on the ports that is required but i still dont get any msg that the server has been added to the master list. Why is this? I get an error also but what ive read i should just ignore that. (Failed to load Steam ServiceServiceStart: failed to startServer logging enabled.)

Thank's and sorry for my English! Big Grin

If they can connect it should be on the server list

Are you sure? I have been trying to find it in the server list without no success. Im not getting any "Added to master server" line either and that worries me.

Since your server is local to you, it will always show up at a LAN server for you. Others will see it on the list.

Im not sure im following you. Yes it shows up in the lan server section for me, if i add it to my favorites trough my external IP it shows up also. However neither me or my friends can find it in the internet server list. We have tried with every server but no luck. (CSS, DoDS, DoD and CS.)

There havent been a single connect to our CSS GG server either which is strange. (No one can find it except trough ip is my guess) We have run servers before from different hosts and they have allways got players as soon as 2-3 joins.

Most servers don't get random traffic.
If your friends can connect via your external IP, then it's listed.
Post your server.cfg
