Load Balancing

Just wondering, whats the best way to balance the load between the cores? Is it better to manual set affinity, or let windows do it by itself?

a-priori: if the L2 cache is shared among all cpus, let the OS decide, else restrict servers to group of cpus which share the cache (maybe individual cores).
in detail: try it out ;-) this can be different sometimes...
