Hey,

OS: Centos 32bit fully updated
RAM: 2GB
HARDDRIVE: 36gb 15.000 rpm
CPU: 2x3,06 Xeon
network: 100mbit/s up and down
kernel: standart

My problem has nothing to do with latency but it seems like my whole server lag...
I tried to start my server with following at got:

Quote:/home/server27015/hlds_run -game cstrike +hostname "csserver2" +map de_dust2 -port 27015 +maxplayers 14 +sys_ticrate 1000 -pingboost 2

Any idea what happens? Sometimes fpsmeter outputs:
Error: RCON error (2):There is no challenge
and
Error: Unknown error (empty fps value)

probably this is related to the current steam/vac/what-so-ever problem that makes all hlds and srcds servers world lag (is it really all? I heart of no good server so far, at least on Linux).

Well i guess windows is better at everything. Regarding Vac/steam master servers i have a firewall who blocks it, so if anyone knows the port of Vac/steam master servers maybe it would help?

it's not the master server, but the error reporting server, that makes problems. valve is aware of the problem and will hopefully fix it soon.

this problem is not related to the OS, though it seems that only the Linux implementations of srcds and hlds are affected.

Okay Big Grin Well the question about the master serveres is because that my server dont wanna go VAC secure :/ I think its firewall and not on my server because there iptables are disabled. But on my router onley port 27015-27019 udp tcp, ssh and ftp are accepted.
