Low Client Tick Low Server FPS - Any help appreciated!
#1
I know this has been answered before out there, but I've googled and googled - and nothing. So I'm throwing myself at your mercy!

I run the srcds.exe command in the command line ("srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust2 -maxplayers 32 -autoupdate -port 27015 +ip 10.49.1.150")

Everything works great, but the FPS I'm getting is around 64 FPS. When I log in on my gaming rig (client) I'm getting roughly the same tick rate. I've got the config file set accordingly for 100 (see below). My server and gaming rig specs are more than acceptable (both i7 1366 quad cores at 3+GHz with 8GB ram on a lan next to each other. Gaming rig has GTX 480). This is all on a GbE switch. Many many thanks in advance!!!!

css doesn't support any other tickrate than 66 anymore, so 64 fps is just fine (better than 100 fps in this case!).

You can probably trim up your ACL a bit using the range specification. Here is my inbound ACL:

access-list Hl2 extended permit udp any host HL2OUTSIDE eq 27020
access-list Hl2 extended permit udp any host HL2OUTSIDE eq 1200

access-list Hl2 extended permit udp any host HL2OUTSIDE range 27000 27015
access-list Hl2 extended permit tcp any host HL2OUTSIDE range 27030 27039
access-list Hl2 extended permit tcp any host HL2OUTSIDE eq 27015
