Garrys Mod *AND* CSS SRCDS *CLIENT PROBLEM*

Ok, Basicly, a few days ago my css server was working FINE! But a few days after i had made it, played on it with some friends and stuff... i shut it down to add some other mods and updates. I launch the SRCDS Application to start my server (works fine) open counter strike, try to connect to my server, and it just stays at the screen "Connecting to server..." Sooooo, i restarted SRCDS, and tried it again, and it still said the SAME thing, untill it timed out and said maximum retries or something like that... Then i deleted that whole SRCDS folder, and made a new one, and created a Garrys Mod server, got all the mods/addons i wanted, add admin mod (Ass_mod). Then started that, my friend could join, but every time i wanted to join, it always said "Connecting To Server..." until the 4 retries ran out.. then i just raged (lol) and came to this forum to ask this question, PLEASE REPLY IF YOU HAVE THE ANSWER!!! It would really be helpful and this has been bugging me for days! So please reply if you have the answer to my problem, Thank you.

Did you connect with your local ip? Or which IP? Some technical information would be good for us to have.

I have port forwarded my ports to the server, and connected with my ip, not local, but the other one... lol and it still wont work, it just happened out of no where

Connect with your local ip instead of the external.
