Srcds full throtle command line?
#1
Question
I looked here:http://www.srcds.com/db/engine.php?subaction=showfull&id=1103579727&archive= 'cause my server is running about 50 fps. I don't understand that startup line, where do I need to put that /high? Here's my startup line:

C:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -secure -port 27015 +maxplayers 14 +map cs_assault -autoupdate -tickrate 66

I tried many times to put that /high command different places but it doesn't work. Thanks for your time. Please tell me.

Edit// I almost forgot, when I start SrcdsFpsBoost.exe, it starts. Then I start my server. It runs. Then I go to my server. The Fps has dropped from around 400 fps to 50 fps when I join. Same thing happens if I use windows media player. What to do?

well for the high priority you have to do that manually in task manager, or get something like server checker that allows you to set it to high. and if the SERVER fps drops that much with just one person in it, that probly the box can't handle that.

note-server fps, and how many fps you get in game are totally different things. so if your getting 50 fps, that doesn't mean the server is at 50 fps. to find server fps while in game you have to "rcon stats" or "ma_rcon stats" if you have mani. i don't know any other plugins, but rcon of some sort. lol

Does it affect a lot if I run the server from my computer, and play at the same time from that same computer at my own server? Or do I need to make the server at different computer and play from another computer? 'Cause I read that joining own server from same computer affects server performance.

yes it does, mainly because both the server, and the game itself use a LOT of sytem resources, and when useing them both at the same time, most computers will start slowing down, due to the fact that it just can't work that fast. if you have a fairly beefy computer then it can handle it, but obviously if it starts lagging when you join your computer can't handle it. another computer would probly be the best choice. and anymore computers are cheap, shit i built the computer runnin my server for like 200 dollars, although i already had the hard drive. i <3 newegg.. lol.
